About Us

The Rincon Volleyball Club was established in December of 2008 by Director/Owners Jack and Renee Richards.¬† The passion for this sport didn’t start with our Rincon Club but started years ago when Jack and Renee were Executive Directors of Channel Islands VBC in the early 1990s.¬† Jack was also the Head Coach at Buena High School for nearly 18 years and currently the Head Coach for St. Bonaventure Girls Volleyball for over 6 years.¬† Renee has always been by his side throughout this time as Director of Administrative Services doing the majority of the work and leadership¬†needed to keep it going.¬† Jack’s volleyball career began¬†in College (College of the Canyons) and was setter.¬† He also grew up playing on the beach while surfing at Santa Monica Beach his true passion for the game began with their three daughters Janee, Lauren and Jacki.
